09.30 – Registration tea and coffee on arrival

09.45 – Introduction to Equine Hydrotherapy – Dr Matthias Baumann

Dr Matthias Baumann discusses in depth various conditions appropriate for Hydrotherapy Rehabilitation covering benefits and contraindications. He also discusses the benefits and contraindications of including hydrotherapy as part of a competition training programme. He will cover working with a water treadmill and a cold salt water spa, and include an overview of current research and approach to Equine Hydrotherapy

11.00 – Break

11.15 – Practical demonstration and assessment of working horses in a water treadmill for rehabilitation and as part of training – Dr Matthias Baumann

Observation in the therapy room with Dr Matthias Baumann and Equine Rebalance using the water treadmill for demonstration purposes. Horses will be assessed prior, during and after their session in the water treadmill

12.30 – Lunch

Lunch is provided so please let us know of any dietary requirement upon booking

Practical demonstrations and assessments in the Dukes Hall indoor arena

Classroom: An introduction to Osteopathy and how the rider impacts upon the horse

16.00 – Move to the Dukes Hall arena with both groups for Q & A session

Summary discussion of the day followed by ‘Ask the Expert’ with Dr Matthias Baumann, Tony Nevin, Equine Rebalance and FMBs Therapy Systems
